New fabric! Simply Color by V & Co for Moda and Hello Sunshine by Riley Blake

Simply Color by V & Co. for Moda   The Ombre solids were the main focal point in this line. So many ideas come to mind for quilts or apparel since ombre is a very wonderful way to play with color and the different shades just add that much more depth to your design. There is real beauty in simple designs and when you incorporate different shades of the same color in one project there is a subtle radiance that can make a very simple project look breathtaking. Throw in a love of vintage textiles and you get vintage and simple modern encompassed in one line! There are some fantastic free pattern/tutorials over at Moda Bake Shop. Here are a few of my favorites using fabrics from Simply Color! The quilt above is called Skittles Quilt. It uses 4 yds and a Charm Pack for the quilt top. Love it! This is the Simply Woven quilt. Requires 2 Jelly Rolls plus yardage to make this colorful quilt. Now a non-quilt project perfect for gift giving - Simply Colorful Coasters. My friend Sara is having a baby, and the baby's room colors are pink and brown.  I decided to make her a baby quilt from Lily and Will fabrics designed by Bunny Hill from Moda.
