Tons of New Japanese Fabric In The Shop!

We have received a lot of new fabric from Lecien, and received our first fabric from Kokka. We have lots to show you, so let's get to it! What's in the name, you ask? Mochi is a prominent snack in Hawaii, where The Happy Zombie grew up. It is a Japanese rice cake, and the designer thought they looked like delicious displays of sweet flower bouquets. Franco and Fiona pattern by Figgy's made from HMYY. Happy Mochi Yum Yum 30305-70 Blue India by Lecien Here is a Zig Zag Quilt Pattern made from Happy Mochi Yum Yum. Princess Rose Princess rose is a shabby collection in soft whites, blues, yellows and pinks. We're offering a fat quarter bundle and yardage: Princess Rose 14 Fat Quarter Bundle Whitewash by Meg Hawkey ight now, and will be listing a quilt kit (pictured below) soon - it drew a LOT of attention at quilt market: White Wash Window Panes Quilt Kit 60" X 72" Fabric samples on display at Quilt Market in Salt Lake City. The Whitewash quilt uses many prints from the Mrs. March's Basics line, which is shown later in this newsletter. Paris Apartment This lovely line is designed by Bari J. The Garden Club

Newly available!  The Garden Club is designed by Shelley Denton for Benartex Fabrics

Shelley Detton’s The Garden Club is now open with playful butterflies, birdhouses, florals and stripes, all designed in her signature hand-painted touch. Imagine large pillow panels that can be embellished or cut apart, giant polka dots that seem to dance and lots of textures to mix and match.

Just arrived from Robert Kaufman!  Here are 15 fun prints, a fat quarter bundle, and a Grinch quilt kit fresh off the truck from the UPS man!

This quilt finishes 56" by 68". Quilt kit includes the fabrics for the top and binding plus the pattern.

Quilt Market Post #1

(This post is delayed due to blogger being down for several days!)

We’ve arrived in Salt Lake City for International Quilt Market and checked in at the Salt Palace Convention Center.   If you’ve never seen pictures of the Quilt Market floor, it can be overwhelming.  See below for a couple of sneak peek views (the exhibits don’t actually open up until Friday morning).  There are twenty nine aisles of exhibitors with 15-19 booths on each side of the aisle, with several intersecting rows for traffic flow to move across the aisles from one end to the other.

Salt Lake is nestled in between the Rocky Mountains, and there are some decent views of them from our Hotel room on both sides (Radisson).

Gone with the Wind - Scarlett in her green barbecue dress is restocked!

Gone With The Wind is one of my favorite movies! I waited for years for someone to come out with this line. We have received more stock of the most popular print BY FAR - Scarlett in her green barbecue dress!







Below is a picture of the delicate green floral bouquet which is the inspiration for the dress. The color was chosen to enhance Vivien Leigh's eyes. For all you GWTW fans who don't already have this print - you had better get some for your stash before it is gone!
